Jeep Grand Cherokee

The confidence to take on off-road challenges, or to face adverse road conditions, that Jeep models offer to drivers is rooted in their legacy of offering legendary 4×4 systems. Within the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, three available 4×4 systems are available to ensure that you can enjoy the complete confidence that you deserve when setting out on adventures throughout the areas of Norwalk, Stamford, Bridgeport, Fairfield, Greenwich, and beyond. Below you’ll find a comprehensive comparison of each, and will have a better idea of what advantages the new Grand Cherokee has to offer.

Jeep Quadra-Trac I® 4×4

This always-engaged 4×4 system ensures that your Grand Cherokee is ready to help you take on all-weather conditions with great peace-of-mind. With the Brake Lock Differential, the Jeep Quadra-Trac 1® system ensures an unparalleled sense of confidence and command of the road that Jeep brand vehicles are known for.

Jeep Quadra-Trac II® 4×4

Featuring a two-speed transfer case utilizing input from a multitude of sensors, this system is able to determine tire slip at the earliest possible moment, and divert up to 100% of available torque to the axle with the most traction. Combined with the standard Selec-Terrain® traction control system, the Quadra-Trac 2® system will help you to boldly conquer any conditions.

Jeep QUADRA-DRIVE® II 4×4

The ultimate in capability, Quadra-Drive® II 4×4 System with rear Electronic Limited Slip Differential delivers the all-weather and off-road capability that has defined the Jeep brand. Selec-Terrain® traction control is once again standard, and the addition of Quadra-Lift® air suspension means that you can raise the vehicle for better off-road capability or lower it on-road for enhanced handling and superior fuel efficiency.

Quadra-Drive® vs. Quadra-Trac®

The biggest difference between these two 4×4 systems is that Quadra-Trac II utilizes a Brake Traction Control System (BTCS) to minimize sliding on tough terrain, while the Quadra-Drive uses a more traditional electronically controlled differential. Both offer strong traction on off-road trails near Stamford.
